CALL FOR PROPOSAL 2027-2028
Arprim, centre d'essai en art imprimé, invites artists, collectives, and professional curators whose current practice is related to printmaking to submit an exhibition proposal for the 2027–2028 program.
Arprim is seeking proposals that explore printmaking in various forms. Preference will be given to hybrid or multidisciplinary proposals, or those that employ new or experimental techniques.
If you wish, you may propose a cultural outreach activity or a workshop related to your exhibition proposal. The proposed project may be discussed and considered for a grant to cover expenses and the artist’s compensation. Please note that this proposal will have no bearing on the jury’s decision.
The center views print as an open, fluid, social, and accessible medium, and defines itself as a space for experimentation and exploration that fosters the development of a pluralistic vision of print art. As a promoter of contemporary art, Arprim helps increase the visibility of printmaking practices by presenting exhibitions, events, and off-site initiatives, as well as by organizing special events.
Representativeness criteria taken from the programming policy:
Arprim’s exhibitions are selected by the programming committee, which consists of active members, board members, the programming coordinator, and a guest member. The programming aims to represent a variety of generations and backgrounds and to include an equal number of male and female artists (while taking gender identities into account). We place great value on diverse backgrounds and Indigenous heritage, and we encourage artists and curators who identify with these communities to submit proposals.
- Relevance of the project to printmaking practices
- Quality of the artistic proposal
- Incorporation of hybrid, multidisciplinary, or innovative practices
- Provide the current CARFAC seal for the year of the exhibition
- Promote the event on its website and social media
- Produce a brochure in French and English
- Organize and cover the costs of the opening reception
- Document the exhibition with a professional photographer
